01

The brief

Richmond Motor Group needed a secure and manageable system for Hyundai Southampton that could improve site-wide visibility, replace damaged camera infrastructure, support vehicle evidence, deter after-hours incidents and stabilise connectivity across linked buildings.

02

The challenge

The site was carrying several hidden infrastructure risks. Wireless links between buildings were unstable, devices relied too heavily on DHCP, Wi-Fi coverage was inconsistent, previous external camera runs used unsuitable internal-grade cable and water ingress had damaged cameras and connectors. The result was a system that was difficult to trust, difficult to maintain and not strong enough for vehicle disputes or security operations.

03

The solution

Smart AI Core rebuilt the site around a structured UniFi network and surveillance platform. The installation introduced a UDM Pro Max, dedicated video recording, 39 AI cameras, 9 PTZ auto-tracking cameras, ANPR search, AI audio warnings, 16 PoE switches, external-grade Cat6 cabling, cleaner cabinet organisation, static IP planning, DHCP improvements, wireless bridge optimisation and stronger Wi-Fi coverage across operational areas.

04

The outcome

Hyundai Southampton gained a more stable, secure and professional infrastructure. Camera reliability improved after water-damaged cabling was replaced, IP conflicts were reduced, multi-building connectivity became easier to manage, ANPR improved vehicle accountability and AI detection with audio alerts strengthened after-hours deterrence.
